HAPPY HAPPY DIWALI !

We are getting ready for the evening, an evening of lights, fun, food, festivities. But also an evening of Crackers and fireworks.
Uh Oh….we are trying not to think of the scary, loud noises for now and concentrate on what is Mummy and Daddy’s Favourite festival.
We hope it will be less noisier this year and there will be lots more sweets and yummables!
Will let you know tomorrow. But for now, please join us as we get ready to celebrate!!
Here are our flowers…Mummy will make a ‘Rangoli’ with them and also knit them into garlands for decorating the doors.

P1130500

OK, they work!
P1130508

Look, they are shaped like Goddess Laxmi, Goddess of wealth and prosperity

Still about 5 hours to go before we put them up.

Decorative garland for the main door. Don’t you just love those little bells?

Mummy recieved some handmade candles made in a very special institution for mentally challenged & autistic children. They are a gift from a Pharma-company.
How very touching!

We hope you have a lovely celebration. The Indian community here in South Florida is preparing for it too -- so our newspapers described the holiday this morning and we were happy to know someone in India who is celebrating it too!
