SKYWATCH

It has been raining persistently for over a month now, with the sun making intermittent, brief appearances tentatively. The curtains, the indoor plants, the cushions and everything around emit a weird musty smell from absorbing much more than their share of moisture.
The companies selling room-freshener sprays must be doing brisk business! They (we mean the sprays) do come in a variety of fragrances, Orchid, Jasmine and Lavender to name a few of our favourites and dispel the mildewed odour considerably well.

Apart from the muddy paw prints that soil our floor which we cannot help and which seems to distress mummy a great deal, we are unfazed by the rains.
We are Labradawgs and Labradawgs live for water, be it pouring from above, flowing with a roar, rising in a wave or collected in a pool.

Apart from the delights of playing in the rain soaked grass and chasing the myriad life-forms that the after-rain sunlight wakes to life, there are other pleasures the rains bring which serve as good blog-topics!

Daddy was only too glad to capture the changing hues of the morning sky for us. We hope they bring you as much joy as they did us.

Beautiful shots - Labradors need water. Ours are very generously spreading it all over the furniture at the moment!

Beautiful sky, beautiful cloud formations, and beautiful dogs, too. What more could anyone want? Our Golden Retriever, Lindy, helps my husband get out there to take pictures of the great big sky here on the prairie.

Love your cloud pictures. We're in a rain, clear, rain, clear weather pattern at the moment. We're used to drought, so though the farmers are happy, we're kind over it!

Don't worry about the muddy floor. I heard HER say that she didn't know whether to wash the floor or just plough it and sow a crop! (That's an exaggeration..we're not that dirty.)

Cool pictures. Know how you feel with all the rain. We had rain almost every day for 6 weeks too. We did get a little break this week.

Lovely sky photos. But could you send some of that rain over here, please? I'm not labradog and I HATE rain and tend to believe that the only good water is that which is in my bowl for drinking, but...it's too dry here. We've only had half of what's normal for summer and you can either let the grass and plants die or you can be irresponsible and use water that is needed for other things. Not good choices. Soo...we'll take a little soaking rain, please. Then we'll be happy to give it back.

lotsa licks, Lola

Somehow when I see the clouds from a faraway place like where you live, they seem so different and so much more beautiful! Thanks for sharing them!! We've had rain here too this week and after a summer of not too much of it, everything is getting green again--I love it!! :-)

Awesome photos! Around here we love clouds. Our whole honeymoon album is full of cloud pictures. Probably because we couldn't get our newlywed heads out of them. We still love to capture them. Thank you for sharing.
