We have always been great fans of Black and White pictures.
We believe that, devoid of colours, a picture puts in perspective the key element that inspired the photographer to make it in the first place. The play of light and shade too is better accentuated in monochrome.
The following pictures were taken in various beaches of Goa. Each picture tries to grasp the myriad moods of the sea and life by the shore.
Fruition
A full net! A successful culmination of a patient day!
A treasured photograph…it resounds with the chorus of enthusiastic boatmen,
the joyful cries of elated fishermen,
the awe of novice bystanders!
Quietude
Even in the midst of company,
those moments of silence by the beach are what soothes the soul
and lets one hear one’s own voice…
To Each His Own
A day at the beach depicting the myriad of activities around…..
A lazing tourist, swimmers, a picnicking family
and most prominently, a fisherwoman!
Belonging
Inspired by those two pairs of shoes, that are the centre-point of this shot.
They seem to belong together, just like the two people who they belong to...

Thanks a lot for all your wishes. Mummy is feeling much better today and seems to be on the mend.
She is still fussy about her food but she did eat her Tandoori chicken last night!!
