Mummy’s RANDOM SHOTS

Stills from a part of the City known as ‘The Old City’.

Unaffected and untouched by the expanse of modern day developments, the inevitable take-over by the Big Brands and the sprawling malls, this part of the city continues life in the same sedentary fashion, as it did, may be, at least 50 years ago.

The small scale entrepreneurs and the all- in-one retailers are still the high-lights of the busy market places.
The road-side vendors still crowd the almost non-existent foot-paths amidst the chaos of un-regulated traffic.

But yes, the place is certainly a photographer’s delight!

I hardly ever happen to go there, but when I do, it never fails to excite my imagination!
Colourful, eccentric and bustling with activity, the place provides ample fodder for my camera…

(Hotline number to dial GOD??!!)

 P1140047
(A formidable Goddess guarding her own temple!)

(Surprising how prayers fall on deaf ears,  in spite of they being blared out of that huge amplifier!)

Hope You liked Mummy’s pictures! We find them rather amusing!

Pee Ess :This just came in. Our Friend HERO is on the mend. He is still weak but definitely on the mend. He has even started eating well and we pray and wish for him to regain his strength soon. Please do go over to HIS BLOGGIE and say Hello. It will lift up his spirits.

I can almost imagine what it would be like to walk do the street. It must be fascinating. Nothing even remotely close to that where we live. Looks like a good place to visit.

Glad to hear about your friend HERO. We will be sure to visit.

Hey Buddy, Ginger & Shadow!
Wow, what great pix. I bet that's one really cool place to visit. I think there are too many things I could knock over, grab and chew etc for me to get to go, but it looks like fun. Thanks for sharing!
