BUDDY SPEAKS

Mummy was at home the entire day yesterday.

I woke up very early, even before the birds were up. My tummy wasn’t feeling good and I threw up my undigested dinner from last night.
That got Mummy very worried again and she decided it would be prudent to take the day off from work to watch over me.
I guess she keeps thinking of the long list of possible diagnoses from her medical books and they leave her really paranoid!!
But then there was no real cause for getting so worked up. I was up and walking and hungry, had no fever and was going about my business. Only I felt rather tired and my tummy felt awkward and made a lot of noise!
Mummy decided it would do me good to have frequent, small meals spaced throughout the day instead of the two large ones I and Ginger usually get. And that meant either Mummy or Daddy had to stay back.

Daddy was feeling much better and considering the fact that Mummy would be fretting and fidgeting thinking about me, he offered to go to work and let Mummy stay home.
The result was I kept getting mini meals every 3 hours.
I was rather puzzled initially. It seemed like I was getting just a taste of what was to actually come!

No amount of begging asking could break down Mummy’s firm resolve not to feed me more and she successfully ignored my doleful, woeful face!
But then, after sometime, I got some more breakfast and then some more!

Aah! This did not seem bad anymore.

Mummy’s idea worked fairly well. I did manage to keep all my mini meals down the entire day and night. But then there was one more episode of throwing up early today morning.
The good part is that made Daddy stay back at home today while Mummy went to work.

Why couldn’t they have this arrangement everyday? It isn’t fun to be without Mummy and Daddy the entire day.
Anyway, I feel much better today. My tummy isn’t grumbling and I feel so hungry all the time!
I even played a little ‘Catch me if you can’ with Ginger which seemed to elate her tremendously.
But it left me a tired again.

Sigh!
I need to get better. A lot of things need straightening up.
For one, the lizard on our wall probably thinks I have been switched off!
Can you believe it? He ventured as close as 1 foot to the floor!
And had it not been for Ginger’s alert call, I would have continued snoozing!

I did manage to chase him back home though. For now, we both keep staring at each other, me from my position of repose on the floor and he from behind the picture on the wall.

I need to get better soon!
I guess all your wishes and love are already making me better. Thanks so much.

Contemplating life,

Ahh, poor Buddy-boy. Our Buddy threw up the other day so we fed him three or four small meals of rice, eggs scrambled in water and stopped him from drinking gallons. Hope you're soon back to normal, dear boy.

Oh my poor friend. We feel so bad for you. Maybe you should make a visit to the (shudder at the thought) - VET. I do hope they can figure it out pretty soon.
