A SPECIAL SATURDAY and a SAD MONDAY

Mummy and we have this arrangement. On a Saturday, we do something different from what we do the whole week. Like, we go out for a long evening walk to some place other than our usual trek route. To break the monotony, as Mummy puts it.

Yesterday however, Mummy and Daddy came back home much later than usual, all tired and ‘headachey’. We were very disappointed. 'There goes our special walk', we thought. We went and lay down, with the saddest look on our faces.

Those looks always win. Headache or no headache.
Mummy laughed and we knew we were going out after all!
‘Let’s go, Darlings’, was all we needed! And before she could get out of the door, we were at the gate!
We didn’t go any place far, just to the fields near our home. But it was a very special walk.

The temperatures were considerably down, the air smelt fresh, there was a lovely wind blowing. It was a perfect evening to run as much as you like without worrying about the heat.
We had real fun.
And then suddenly it happened! There was a beautiful orange glow in the sky that lit up everything around us. And in the distance, on the horizon, we saw the dark clouds approaching. Even as we watched, we saw a strange grey vertical shadow in the sky, moving towards us.

Mummy and Daddy seemed very excited to see it.
‘Look, Bud-Gin,that is the rain literally coming towards us!’
We hadn’t seen something like that before, but it looked very exciting!
Mummy felt really really disappointed that she didn’t have a camera with her to catch this lovely scene.
We don’t mind the rain. But the lightening and growling thunder is not something we like very much. We saw the flashes of lightening at a distance.

Now, whoever said ‘Light travels faster than sound didn’t have to know much Physics, did he?’ Even we know the angry growls can’t be far away when we see those flashes.
We jumped up into the car, ready to go back home. Mummy found that rather amusing, because normally we are not very keen to return from a walk.
As we reached our gates, the rain reached us.
We haven't deciphered why but Mummy behaves very funnily at any given opportunity to get wet in the rain! We cocked our heads and stared at her!
She kept calling for us to get down from the car. She was gladly getting wet, looking skywards, arms outstretched! We peered out of the open window and felt the drops on our noses. The rain was pretty heavy and cut into our fur.

No Mummy, we are not so very enthusiastic about the idea.
Mummy laughed. Sometimes we really crack her up, the way we resolutely put across our mind. On any given day, we'd rush her to open the car door so we can beat her at getting down from the car. And here we were, refusing to get down.
But then we just didn’t want to get wet.
Finally she got the idea and unlocked the front door. We both rushed in, with Daddy following suit.

We didn’t know there was something else waiting for us, something we enjoyed very much.
There were shopping bags for us to check out! So that is the reason Mummy and daddy came back late. And guess what they contained…?

NOMMIES and loads of stuff, JuSt for us!

(We were'nt about to pose for Ginger's kibble)

(OK, I see u got the flavour right. Meat and rice, just what I like)

(Aww Mummy, will u stop that please and give us some Nommies?)

(Daddy, PLEASE will u help?)

(Ah! Finally!)

(NOM NOM NOM!)

(Nomm NOMM NOM!)

Pee Ess: There has to be an after-effect to getting wet in that torrential rain, added to working overtime. Mummy had a splitting headache.
Not that she learns from her mistakes.
Result: We missed our Saturday post.

Sunday diary: Mummy went on a ‘clean-up the house’ spree.
Results:
1.The house smells flowery!
2. Mummy has that smug look on her face!
3. We missed our Sunday post too!

What can two Labra-Dawgs do?

We are very, very sorry to learn just sometime back that MAXDOG has left us. It is difficult to find words to say what you feel at times like these....

Max, though it is painful for us, we would like to tell you that we are glad you can no longer feel any earthly pain. We will always remember you.

WISHES DO COME TRUE

It probably works! This ‘Mind over matter’ thing that the Dan Brown book talks about.

We have been wishing very hard for a less busy day at work for Mummy so that she can finish off her book. And tell you what, she came back today with the bookmark at the end of the book! There are only just about 20 pages left to read.
Yaay! We can finally get back to reading all your blogs soon.

And the other thing that convinced us about the validity of Dan Brown’s claim about wishes coming true is much more interesting.

Mummy has been eyeing this very beautiful but expensive tea cup and saucer set for a very, very long time now. It is a lovely piece of art she says, combination of steel and ceramic manufactured by an internationally famous Indian Steel giant called Jindal Steel. They have many, very lovely creations you might like to check out HERE. Their range is named “artd’inox”, meaning The Art of Stainless Steel.

Mummy just loves these beautiful designer things and always wishes she had a little more money to spend on them. (Each time she goes to the store selling something that she likes but can’t buy just yet, she’d go stand and admire!)
This set was one such thing.
And guess what happened today? A friend gifted them to Mummy! And not one, not two but EIGHT sets of this beautiful Cup and Saucer!!!

She is so, so happy :) :) :)
We, of course, checked them out immediately. And we agree, they ARE lovely and smart.

(Mummy, can I have a cup of milk to go with my bone?)

Mummy had her evening cup of Ginger-Tea in her new cup. The way she was smiling away, you’d think her tea was extra intoxicating! We thought it was a little silly though!

(We like that little elephant inside the cup!)

We leave you with this little excerpt from 'The Lost Symbol' to ponder over:

Time is a River...and books are boats. Many volumes start down that stream, only to be wrecked and lost beyond recall in its sands. Only a few, a very few, endure the testings of time and live to bless the Ages following.

TRUE COLOR THURSDAY - RED and WHITE together!

Can you believe it? Mummy totally totally forgot today is a Thursday and we like to play TCT. And we so love Red and White and don’t want to miss playing today.

Dog! She is losing it!
Thankfully, we had already collected some pictures in today’s colour theme.
Hope you guys like them.
The FIRST picture that came to our mind when we thought of Red and White is of Yummy KFC!

It has been ages since we had KFC nommies. (Mummy, hope you are taking note)
Next is Mummy’s Coffee cup. Daddy drinks out of it sometimes, though he is not a Piscean.

Mummy picked up this material the other day.

The print is rather smart, don’t you think? She hasn’t decided yet what she is going to do with it. Maybe make a bag or a lap-top cover or some cushions.
Daddy thinks it is very silly to buy some material when you don’t know why you need it!
We know Mummy loves it and so even had a bitey-face fight over who is going to model it! Ultimately, as you can see in the earlier pic, we both held it up.

Now, isn’t it a funny coincidence that the bag that it came in is also in White and Red?

These are a couple of books we fished out from Mummy’s library, all in White and Red.

Oh! Another one we missed earlier. Mummy goes all misty-eyed about this book, Dog knows why!

This is the universal symbol of The Red Cross Society. We added it here today because Mummy is a Doc.

This is a googled picture. We would have liked it better had it been clicked at mummy’s hospital.
But like we told you, she had forgotten all about today’s TCT.
She only remembered when she brushed our teeth at night because our toothbrush too is White and Red. But then, she couldn’t photograph our brush because the camera batteries were exhausted and she had FORGOTTEN to re-charge them.

Mummy IS losing it!

WAGGING WITH JOY

Thump-thump-thump-thump-thump…..

Can you guys hear that? It is the legendary Labra-tail wagging!
Nopes, we haven’t cleared any coffee tables yet, for the simple reason that Mummy doesn’t anymore keep anything at ‘clearable’ height.

We barely can stop wagging today. Guess what? We won our first blog award!!
We have been wagging so hard since yesterday that mummy couldn’t help but keep her book aside and agreed to help us with this THANK YOU post.

Now, as the Rules say:

1. Thank the Pawson who gave it to you: Thanks HEAPS dear Dexter, Nora and Tiffany  (http://thetalesofdexterandnora.blogspot.com/). It is not the award that counts as much as the thought behind it. We really appreciate your choosing us.

2. Share 7 things about yourself:

1) I (Ginger) am a Pedigree, British lineage Labradudette. My Furry-Mom was a Best in show Pedigree and I was bred for show. That is why I have just perfect features. Our neighbours, who planned to train me to be a Show-Dawg, sold me to mummy because they couldn’t handle the energy levels of my Puppyhood! Can u imagine? But I am so glad because the Day Mummy picked me up, my life changed and so did Mummy’s.

2) Mummy and Daddy says I need not win any awards, I am their Champ anyways. So, I am a happy, content home-schooled family-labradudette. I have a very, very special connection with Mummy and that’s why she calls me her Zen-Girl.

3) I LOVE chew-sticks, caramel toffees, fish, mango flavoured ice-cream, running over soft, wet grass, napping on mummy’s lap on a Long drive and sleeping at night on the hollow of Daddy’s arm.

4) I (Buddy) came to live with Mummy and Daddy just a yr back. I was brought up by Norm & Christie who, after 4 years in India, had to leave for their home in Colorado and couldn’t take me with them. I was sad, but it took me about a month to realise that I had found a family who loves me to pieces (and a Mummy who hugs me forever like!)

5) Mummy and Daddy says this is my Furever Home and I don’t have to go anywhere else, come whatever may. I love my new family and would do anything to look after them. Bestest of all, I have Ginger to play with, though she refuses to miss out on her beauty sleep and play during the day.(Huh! Girls)

6) I just LOVE to play Fetch (Daddy is pretty good at it too), chicken bones, fresh yoghurt, vanilla ice-cream, salted biscuits, stuffy chewing, Splashing in the water, sleeping under the bed and a good Belly-Rub (Mummy is such a natural at it!) I am extremely athletic and amaze everyone by my very professional like stunts!

7) We both love to make new friends, especially children. Mummy says we can be excellent Therapy-Dawgs. Apart from blogging, that is one thing that can be so satisfying. So we hope Mummy puts in some serious thought about this.
(Daddy wants to add a Pee Ess here. I, Buddy, he says is the BESTEST behaved Dawg he has ever seen and is really proud of me)

3. We pass on this award to 15 of our pawonderful blog furiends. You might have already received it and we totally understand if u don’t want it again. But please know that this is a token of Our Love & Appreciation because your blogs bring so much joy n laughter into our lives. We are sorry we can choose only 15 of you.

A Cake and nothing but MORE DAN BROWN

It finally rained, lowering the temperatures. Not yet to comfortable levels (it’s 39 deg centigrade still), but lowered nonetheless.

We had a very quiet Saturday and a still quieter Sunday. Of course,we didn’t harbour any other expectations as Mummy has her nose buried deep into her book.
It is very different from all other books that she has read, from what she has been telling us.

Now think about this:
A single grain of sand has mass, very negligible but still mass. So it exerts gravity. Now, when so many grains of sand form the moon, its gravity is strong enough to form tides in our seas and oceans.
Think of our thoughts as measurable mass. A single thought may not be strong enough like that single grain of sand and not exert much pull. But when a large group of minds think the same thing, it is strong enough to change the physical world around us. This is supposedly the power of Mass meditation or Mass –Prayer.

Profound isn’t it?
The Neotic Science centre, California has been conducting experiments that prove Thoughts exert energies that can be measured. WOW!

After the 9/11 attacks, the world was united in the same thought. This generated ONE strong, single measurable wave in the reactors that measured thoughts- Order in chaos. This was the turning point of these experiments that were trying to prove simply that wishes can come true! Mind over matter!

It is really amazing that these experiments just go on to prove what has been depicted in the ancient legends and Hindu scriptures thousands of years ago!!
This is called the Lost Wisdom of All Ages. This has been passed on over generations, guarded zealously by many Societies, the Freemasons being one of them.
Mummy is a Huge admirer of the Freemasons. From what she tells us, we understand that they were very brave, ingenious, loyal and exemplarily honourable. Famous men like Newton, Da Vinci, George Washington were all Masons.

This book talks about the Secret wisdom which is the understanding and power of all things we call occult, hidden and which can now be demonstrated in a laboratory!
We are sure we have persuaded you all enough to go pick up that book. Of course, if you want to, you can download the e-book or the audio book. But mummy says they are not as much fun.
We agree. The smell of a new book beats everything.

Well, not everything. The cake that Mummy baked yesterday smelt and tasted really Yummy. Of course it disappeared within minutes!

(Can I have some more please?)

(Me too, Mummy)

(Oh! Thank you)

(That's all that is left?)

And we all returned to ‘ The Lost symbol’.

We leave you to ponder over this:

'To live in the world without becoming aware of the meaning of the world is like wandering about in a great library without touching the books'- The secret Teaching of all Ages.

Mummy, Dan Brown and Us

It is sometimes very difficult for us that we are dependant on Mummy to type our posts. The story is already formed and ready but we have to wait for her to find the time to type it. On most days, she races against time, clicking on the ‘publish post’ button just before the stroke of midnight!

‘Phew!made it today’ is our usual reaction. And then she goes about helping us read all your blogs that we so eagerly follow, well, as many as is possible. Often, we doze off. You shouldn't blame us. Keeping the house safe the whole day while Mummy and Daddy are away is hard work.

But we have been managing. However, we are not so sure anymore.

You see, she is hooked into this book called 'The Lost Symbol' that she started reading yesterday (Mummy, that book is ancient already) and we are sure she is going to be at it for sometime, judging by the thickness of the book.

She loves Dan Brown and his character Robert Langdon and all the symbolism and ancient mysticism he writes about.
This new book talks about Neotic Science and the unmapped potential of the human mind, it’s ability to generate energy waves that can change material things around us. It says if you wish very hard, things come true.
WOW! Isn’t that interesting?
Mummy also likes the way this Dan Brown person puts in a nice thriller story using real life places as the backdrop. In this new book, he talks about the hidden ancient Masonic symbolism in the modern architecture of the White House and the Capitol Building and the Smithsonian.

Hey Furiends! Those of u who stay close by DC, Could you please go sniff around and find out if he got everything right?
We can understand why Mummy is so fascinated after we read a few chapters yesterday.

(Ginger reading with Mummy)

(Buddy dozed off after a tough dose of Neotic Science!)

Mummy carries it to work but we don’t think she gets to do much reading during the day. (The bookmark hasn’t moved much, we ARE smart!)
So, Furiends, don’t blame us please, if the quality of our posts deteriorate and we don’t reply to your comments for sometime. We are hoping Mummy won’t ditch us altogether and at least help post something everyday.
We thought of chewing off a few pages so she can finish the book faster. But we haven’t done that since we were tiny puppies and the idea doesn’t appeal much now.
I guess you grow wiser to the far better treats life has to offer as you grow older.

Anyway, we have our paws crossed and are praying for the good health of every person. That way mummy can finish off her book at work and return to blogging full-time.

Pee ess: Mummy says HEAPS of thanks for liking her jeans bag. It took her an awfully long time and lot of button & zip hunting to get the look right.
