For those who have Mummies and Daddies fond of baking and stuff, it might mean this ...
and for others (like our mummy here!) who just can’t get over their sweet tooth and has to find a way to not be guilty all the time, it may mean this...
But for us, Ginger and Buddy, the word ‘SUGAR’ conjures up just one image.
That of Our gorgeous, elegant friend SUGAR.
We have been racking our brains trying to come up with a special post for our friend on her birthday, ever since she asked us all to do that.
It hasn't been at all easy. What does one say to a STAR that she hasn’t already heard?
We tried our hand at a poem but it turns out we haven’t an inkling of how one sets out to write one!!!
So here we were, two Labradawgs desperately in need of a brainwave for a Birthday Post.
After all, it is not everyday that a Lovely Golden Friend turns Nine.
And then suddenly it struck us!!
Why not have a party in honour of our friend SUGAR? So as soon as Mumsy came home, we put our paws down…we NEED to have a party NOW!
And guess what? She agreed without a flinch!
YIpEEE….!
So here we are SuGAr, with our pictures of the party we had to celebrate your Special Day. We had a lovely time and really enjoyed the food too.
HAPPY BARKDAY TO YOU,
HAPPY BARKDAY TO YOU,
HAPPY BARKDAY DEAR SUGAR,
HAPPY BARKDAY TO YOU.
We dressed up for your party
Mumsy lent me her turquoise necklace.Don't u think it is pretty?
We got lots of nommies
Mummy fixed some Cheese pasta...
...and Affogato
(That deliberately left over cheese went into our special Ginger-Garlic Chicken!Mumsy promises to post the recipe soon.
Can you imagine? She forgot to take pictures of our food. She says we were too eager to be kept waiting!)
Hope you have a lovely Day, Sugar.
Hope you get ALL the treats that you wish for.
And all the love, contentment and peace a Golden Dawg wants...
Heaps of BARKDAY Licks and wags from us and HUGE hugs from Mummy and Daddy,
