WOES

Mummy has gone and caught a cold, and a huge one at that.

She was pawfectly alright Sunday evening, till she went shopping for some new clothes.

There was this lady sneezing away in the trial room while trying out her choices. Mummy, in her excitement at finding some very lovely dresses, hardly noticed her and rushed into the same trial room immediately after this sneezing lady.

You’d have thought she would have a little more sense than that, considering she is forever advising her patients to avoid sneezing people in crowded places, especially since the flu is everywhere these days.

But there, she was being pawfectly careless about the whole thing.

Of course, she came home and fell promptly sick.

And all she has been doing ever since then is sleep, sleep and sleep some more.

We are trying to lift up her spirits and keeping close to her. But she wouldn’t snuggle up to us, in case the bug decides to change allegiance and shifts base to us!

We don’t like it very much. This bug Mummy caught seems to be rather virulent and is making her feel horrible.

She can’t keep working on the computer for long because her eyes water. Neither can she read much, for the same reason.

She tried watching ‘RED’ and fell asleep within minutes! Falling asleep watching a thriller definitely indicates something is very wrong with her, don’t you think?

We even heard her say everything she eats, including her favourite toffees, taste like raw potatoes.

Well Mummy, something IS terribly wrong with you because none of your foods tastes like raw potatoes. (Except of course the raw potatoes which you wouldn’t let us eat.)

We know, because we sampled everything before we let you eat it!!

Daddy is planning some spicy ‘Tandoori Chicken’ for dinner tonight. Hopefully that will stimulate Mummy’s taste-buds back to normalcy.

And for now, we are trying to relax with some semi-classical music.

All that food looks so good, Mom loves the look of those veggies.

We are so sorry your Mom is sick. Mom worried about getting sick with the flying they just did, seems like planes are horrible for spreading germs. Take good care of her and tell her to try that chicken - Dad is very good to make that for her.

If she can't taste THAT food then there is definitely something wrong! So curl up with her and sleep.

We hope she at least got a lovely dress out of the deal.

Hope your mom feels better soon! That food looks so yummy!! Believe it or not, there are many Indian restaurants and stores near us. My parents, especially my papa, LOVE Indian food and go out to eat whenever they can. Enjoy dinner!

We're so sorry your mummy is ill; hope she's better soon. Maybe a nice cup of tea and some toast will help her feel better. She's going to need all her strength to help with the move to Delhi.
