My HEARTIEST, DEEPEST APOLOGIES...

I am sorry, Dearest Furiends. I couldn't keep my promise to reveal my solution to the intriguing mystery sooner.
But I am sure you will forgive me.

When you have paws larger than keyboard keys and are dependant on your erratic secretary Mummy to type your story, these things happen.
Mummy was up at 8 AM and after the whole day's activities, (which she has promised she will tell you in detail, because it includes HEAPS of Ginger-Buddy time) just has found the time to SIT(!!!!) and it is Friday morning, 3 AM to be precise!
ONE whole day gone, rushing about from this to that, here to there!
Now she did tell us it is going to be a busy day. But this busy? We didn't anticipate that.
I am usually not a very demanding girl, I don't throw tantrums or sulk!
But today, I felt a responsibilty to report to you. I have kept you waiting. So I had to ask Mummy to tell you this story even though it is so late.

So here is a small gist of the answer to my Mystery!...I PROMISE (CROSS My Labraheart!) to tell you the full story tomorrow.

 Have you guessed by now what the SPECIAL occasion was?
It was BUDDY'S  1st GOTCHA DAY!
On the 24th of June, a year ago,at about 6:30 PM, Buddy came home to us.
And we are all very, very thankful to have him in our lives.

THANK YOU so much Dear Furiends for loving him. It means a lot to Mummy, I know.

Pee Ess: It was a sitting mat mummy made for him, not a bed. But I think Buddy likes it, because right now he is fast asleep on it, instead of snoozing at Daddy's feet like he does every night!
Why is Mummy all weepy-weep about it?

Unravelling THE Mystery!!

I have been mulling over the goings on in our household and trying hard to figure things out.
Added to the ‘thing’ Mummy is making for Buddy, Daddy made Pizza today!
Said he might not be able to make one tomorrow as a busy day is expected at work.

I tried to employ the services of Hercule Poirot (The greatest Detective on earth, in his own ‘modest’ words).

But he is forever busy! Mummy keeps reading and re-reading his books and he has to go on solving the mysteries therein!
I then went to Sleepy Mead…errr…Saint Mary Mead, to talk to Miss Marple.

But she was busy knitting!

Then I thought of the suave Agent 007- James Bond.

But there are so many of him, I could not decide whom to ask!!

I tried Sherlock Holmes next.

But there are so many of him too!!
What is the world coming to? Have they all developed Multiple Personality Disorder?
(I learned of this affliction from Mummy’s medical Books)

Then I went to Mr. Adrian Monk.

But he was too scared politely declined to talk to me in case he gets fur-allergy!

My last option was our very own Remlock Holmes.

But he is so busy with his new sister, I didn’t have the heart to disturb him.
So finally I decided to solve the mystery myself!

Like Poirot always says- you need to use your grey-cells.
I sat down and deliberated, arranging the facts neatly in my mind…and
.....Mon Dieu! I have been stupid, blind!
It was all so clearly under my nose all the time. So many hints….
I know now.
But I must set the stage before I reveal all to you….

WHAT IS MUMMY UP TO???

Thankies Furiends! We are so, so glad you too are convinced we are real.
And also very happy that we could bring a smile on your faces and a wag in your tails.

But now I need your help..

Mummy is up to SOMETHING! The other day she got these fabrics and asked Buddy to pick one in the colour that he likes. He pondered…

And pondered…

And pondered some more…

And finally GAVE UP!
'I like all of them', he said, just like Daddy does when Mummy asks him to choose a dress for her!

So it was upon me to pick out one colour and I decided on THIS one. It is a nice, bright colour don’t you think? And it was, all the time, right in front of his nose too! HMMRRPH...!

But Mummy still wouldn’t tell me what it is for. The maximum I could wheedle out from her is that she is making something for Buddy.

For Buddy? But she always gets two of everything. Pray tell me, why just for Buddy this time? And why does she say she has GOT to finish it before Thursday?
She is feverishly on her sewing-machine right after she is back from work.

She has this large pawprint cut out, ready to be stitched 'somewhere'!!!

And she made these new Bandanas for us too.

Buddy is all Smiles!!

But I am SO intrigued, I can barely sleep!

What exactly is going on?
Oh! Please, Puulleeze Help me….
