The lake is right at the heart of the city and is usually very busy, more so on weekends.
Lights, music, food is in abundance with even a dedicated play area for the little tots, invariably crowded beyond capacity.
The boats that sleep all day on the lake shore wake up to the glittering evening lights. It is time for them to take the enthusiastic crowd on a cruise to the centre of the lake, where, on a small islet, stands in repose Gautama Buddha, carved in stone to perfection.
Away from the din of the loud music and the jostling crowd, we run free on the soft, green carpet grass which soothes our tired paws. Often, the ice-cream man comes by, much to our delight.
While Daddy settles down with his cup of instant coffee to Puppy-sit us, Mummy wanders off on the pretext of getting her customary cob of sweet-corn.
But we know better!
She is off with her camera again!
Isn’t this a befitting post for the lovely Meme called ‘Weekend Reflections’?
